The Luso-American Development Foundation, Georgetown University and the Georgetown European Club invite you to the Conference “Democracy and Populism in Southern Europe”.
The conference will open with a keynote speech by Philippe Schmitter.
The current situation of Democracy in Southern Europe will be analyzed in a comparative perspective and the populist rise discussed in four different national cases: Greece, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
The Portuguese Secretary of State of National Defense, Ana Santos Pinto, will close the conference.
