Sunday morning. 7 a.m. My hometown, Swansea, Massachusetts. My dad and I pulled off of Route 6, a bustling two-lane highway with stoplights every quarter mile, that stretched all the way from Somerset to East Providence, into the tiny lot of the Cornerstone Bakery.
