Analysis – Plastic will outweigh fish in the ocean by 2050 – unless countries start to limit the number of manufactured products that end up as marine debris. This is one way governments are now pledging to reach the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 14 – to ‘conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development’.
